The SCAMPI (A Scaleable Monitoring Porject for the Internet) Project is organising a BoF on Internet traffic monitoring co-located with the TERENA Networking Conference. This is an open event that anyone may attend.

SCAMPI is a project in the Information Society Technologies programme of the European Union that is developing a scaleable monitoring platform for the Internet. This is based around an open and extensible architecture that also provides tools for DoS detection, SLS auditing, traffic analysis and accounting/billing.

This BoF will outline the challenges of gigabit traffic monitoring and provide an overview of the SCAMPI approach. It will consider the design of the architecture and integration of the hardware and software components, along with the problems of operating at speeds of 10 Gbps and higher.

It is not necessary to register for the SCAMPI BoF.

SCAMPI will publish the programme for the BoF nearer to the date of the event. Please see www.ist-scampi.org/events/ for further details.
